ECAP^® Encapsulated Brushes

Encapsulated products (ECAP^®) are composed of a synthetic compound which is molded into the finished wire wheel and cured to a specified hardness, starting with standard grade E3 green). Harder grades are available as E4 (blue) and E5 (black).

Encapsulated (ECAP®) Brush Grades
E3	Aggressive enough for most applications. Best grade for general use. Green color.	E4	For higher pressure applications and excessive heat. Black color.	E5	Super aggressive, tough cleaning, for most severe applications. Blue color.

Some of the built-in features include: Increased brush aggressiveness. Increased standard wheel performance by 25% or more. ECAP® brush life is up to 100% longer for equivalent service. ECAP®‘s more consistent brushing is due to its short exposed trim length. Encapsulation material reduces long wire breakage and early failure of the working filaments, offering much greater operator safety.
