Diamond Abrasive

COMBIDISC® Diamond
In applications involving abrasive work on wear-resistant platings and armoring made of tungsten carbide, chromium carbide, titanium, etc., PFERD Diamond COMBIDISC® mini grinding discs provide outstanding results.
Featuring a high-grade diamond abrasive, these newly developed tools are ideal for use on jet engine materials, delivering excellent results on Hastelloy, Inconel, titanium and its alloys. They are also perfect for grinding work on extremely hard materials such as hard metals, ceramics, vitreous enamel, stone, and glass or carbon fiber-reinforced plastics. Standard range includes a selection of three grades: Coarse, Medium and Fine.

Aluminum Oxide A

COMBIDISC® Aluminum Oxide A
COMBIDISC® abrasive discs with aluminum oxide A grain are suitable for use on metals and other materials. For general-purpose grinding from coarse to very fine, in diverse applications (industry, trades, DIY).

Aluminum Oxide A - FLEX

PFERD's Aluminum Oxide Cool COMBIDI

COMBIDISC® Aluminum Oxide A-FLEX
Aluminum oxide A-FLEX discs are particularly flexible. These tools are particularly suitable for work on contours and concave or convex surfaces. For invisible grinding patterns in the surface finish of metals. These tools are widely used in tool, die and mold-making applications.

Recommendation for Use
It is recommended to use these discs with a soft holder to benefit fully from their flexibility.

Aluminum Oxide A - PLUS

COMBIDISC® Aluminum Oxide A-PLUS
The aluminum oxide A-PLUS version is universally suitable for all metals. A stronger backing material ensures superior stock removal rates.

These discs are preferred for edge grinding, due to their outstanding tear resistance.

Aluminum Oxide A - FORTE

COMBIDISC® Aluminum Oxide A-FORTE
Aluminum oxide A-FORTE types are universally suitable on all metals. High stock removal, cool grinding performance and a long tool life combined create a superior quality disc.

Aluminum Oxide A - INOX - FORTE

COMBIDISC® Aluminum Oxide A-INOX-FORTE
The aluminum oxide A-INOX-FORTE version of COMBIDISC® is designed for hard-to-machine materials such as stainless steel, Hastelloy, Inconel, etc. Active additive fillers in the coating increase the stock removal rate substantially while preventing loading and heat build-up.

Recommendation for Use
Use with hard or medium disc holders only.

Zirconium Alumina Z

COMBIDISC® Zirconia Alumina Z
COMBIDISC® abrasive discs with zirconia alumina Z grain are suitable for use on all metals. These tools perform particularly well in coarse grinding applications using grit sizes 36 and 60.

Recommendation for Use
Use with hard or medium disc holders only.

Silicon Carbide SiC

COMBIDISC® Silicon Carbide (SiC)
Silicon carbide (SiC) COMBIDISC® discs are ideal for use on aluminum, copper, bronze, titanium, high-alloyed steels and plastics. They are the tool of choice for grinding titanium alloys, as their cool grinding properties help prevent thermal cracking.

The tool of choice in the aircraft industry, specifically where SiC is the only approved abrasive product for use on engine components.

Ceramic Oxide CO

COMBIDISC® Ceramic Oxide (CO)
Ceramic oxide (CO) is suitable for use on alloyed and unalloyed steels, cast iron, and hard metal coatings. Aggressive grinding action results in unsurpassed stock removal rates. Active additive fillers in the coating provide substantially improved abrasive performance while preventing loading and heat build-up.
