Cloth rings are available in four styles. These tools are used with polishing pastes for pre-polishing and high-gloss polishing tasks. For very smooth finishes it may be recommended to use several, or even all, types in succession.

- Aluminum or brass with grey polishing paste (EDP 48761)
- Non-ferrous metals with brown polishing paste (EDP 48762)

Hard Cloth (TH) is ideal for moderate pre-polishing of: - Steel or stainless steel with green polishing paste (EDP 48760).
- Aluminum or brass with grey polishing paste (EDP 48761).
- Non-ferrous metals with brown polishing paste (EDP 48762)
