Introducing SG-FLEX depressed center (Type 27) 1/8” thick Ceramic Oxide grinding wheels. Available in 36, 46 & 60 Grits. Designed for grinding, finishing. shaping, sanding and polishing.

Wheel flex increases surface contact area for a faster grind and longer lasting wheel. SG-FLEX wheels absorb the vibration resulting in less fatigue and downtime.

Backing Pads for SG-FLEX Wheels

SG-FLEX Backing Pads must be used with SG-FLEX discs with 7/8" arbor hole. This special backing pad is contoured to allow the wheels to flex during grinding. They prevent the wheel from over-flexing, which can result in descreased life and potential injury. A free backing pad is included in each box of 10 wheels. Additional pads can be ordered through your PFERD distributor.

Ceramic Oxide Flexible Wheels with 5/8-11 Quick Change Hub

SG-FLEX wheels may be ordered with 5/8-11 Quick change hub. These allow for quick disc change-ups. Please note that the hub reduces disc flexibility, and creates a more aggressive grinding action with a rougher surface finish than the same wheel without hub.For optimal flexibility and best performance, PFERD recommends SG-FLEX wheels be run with 7/8" arbor hole and backing pad.
