For fast weld removal and heavy deburring on all materials. 1/8” wheel thickness provides a smoother operation with minimal vibration for blending to a smooth finish. Wheel flex during grinding process creates a large surface contact area for easy blending operations and reduced risk of gouging the workpiece material.

Slightly flexible grinding wheels with a textured surface for use on flat, concave and convex work pieces. Commonly used in construction of process equipment and tanks, in sheet metal fabrication and automotive bodywork, on castings made of iron, steel and non-ferrous metals, and on thermoplastics.

Introducing SG-FLEX depressed center (Type 27) 1/8” thick Ceramic Oxide grinding wheels. Available in 36, 46 & 60 Grits. Designed for grinding, finishing. shaping, sanding and polishing.

Wheel flex increases surface contact area for a faster grind and longer lasting wheel. SG-FLEX wheels absorb the vibration resulting in less fatigue and downtime.

SG-FLEX wheels may be ordered with 5/8-11 Quick change hub. These allow for quick disc change-ups. Please note that the hub reduces disc flexibility, and creates a more aggressive grinding action with a rougher surface finish than the same wheel without hub.For optimal flexibility and best performance, PFERD recommends SG-FLEX wheels be run with 7/8" arbor hole and backing pad.
