PFERD Grinding & Cut-off Wheels offer world-leading performance. For free-hand, portable, chop and stationary saws.

PFERD thin wheels cut faster than conventional wheels, leaving a cleaner cut, with minimal burr. Thin cut-off wheels are ideally suited for thin gauge sheet stock, thin walled tubing and small diameter cross sections. Material should always be cut at a right angle to the work piece. Larger work pieces require thicker PFERD cut-off wheels for improved lateral stability.

PFERD manufactures a wide selection of high performance depressed center (type 27) thin cut-off wheels to suit all needs from low purchase price to highest level of performance attainable.
Usage Tip:

.040 thickness recommended for sheet stock and tube19 gauge and higher
.045 thickness recommended for 14-18 gauge material
For larger cross sections, please use 3/32 and larger cut-off wheels for performance and safety.
.045 Depressed Center Cut-Off Wheel for Steel and Ferrous Metals!
These high performance .045 wheels cut very fast because they are very thin, and remove less material in the cutting process. Manufactured with full reinforcement and premium grade materials, these wheels provide a long service live in addition to the fast cut.
When used properly, PFERD cut-off wheels will exceed your expectations:
- Never grind with a cut-off wheel. Cut-off wheels are not designed for grinding.
- Cut at a 90 degree angle to the work piece.
- Never mount a cut-off wheel or grinding wheel on a pistol grip sander.
- If you are not sure about how to use a PFERD product properly, consult your safety manager or contact PFERD directly.
